INDION
Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR)
is designed to produce high quality treated
water from waste water.The characteristic
of the MBR process is the use of revolutionary
submerged membranes in the biological process
water tank so as to produce high quality permeate
from domestic sewage, primary and secondary
waste water, etc. Advantages
- Consistent treated water quality independent
of feed variability. Also removes bacteria and
- viruses upto 4 to 6 log
- Submerged applications do not require expensive
"out of tank" pressure pipe work
|
- Single packaged unit, minimal civil work and
pretreatment
- Compact system (1/2 to 1/3 the space of a
conventional system)
- Complete automated system, minimal attention
and maintenance
- Low energy consumption (< 0.30 KWH/m3)
- No chemical requirements for coagulation/flocculation,
& disinfection
- More than 5 years of membrane life·
Ideal for retrofitting/augmentation of capacities/quality
of existing wastewater plants

Some Installations
Drinking Water Treatment Plant
1 million gallons per day drinking water treatment
plant at Gondalpara, Chandannagar for Calcutta
Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA). It
treats water from River Hooghly and serves a population
of 23,000 in six wards. Use of lamella clarifiers
has enabled tremendous saving in land, operation
& maintenance costs.
Common Effluent Treatment Plant
A 3600m 3/day CETP for treating textile wash water
generated by about 18 industries located in SIPCOT,
Perundurai has been commissioned common effluent
treatment plant to treat 4 million litres/day
effluent from 20 dyeing/bleaching textile units
at Kasipalayam, Tamil Nadu.
Reed Bed Systems for Sewage Treatment
A 100m 3/day reed bed system to treat sullage
and sewage for reuse in gardening at the Dhirubhai
Ambani Institute of Communication Technology,
Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Fluidised Media Bed Reactor
At Reliance India Ltd., ICC- Pune, SDM Technoengrs
(Satyam Computers) and JK Cement, Rajasthan.
